FP2 supports valuable research and technology transfer in pavement preservation and recycling.
FP2 was instrumental in launching the National Center for Pavement Preservation (NCPP) at Michigan State University and helps underwrite its activities. This includes the four regional pavement preservation partnerships, which encompass all 50 states, Puerto Rico, D.C., and four Canadian provinces.
FP2 supports fundamental research in pavement preservation, such as the ongoing Preservation Group Experiment at the National Center for Asphalt Technology (NCAT) in Alabama and the Minnesota DOT’s MnROAD Road Research Facility.
FP2 helps sponsor key technology transfer events, international and national pavement preservation conferences and demonstrations, like the 3rd National Pavement Preservation Conference, NPPC23, Sept. 18-21, 2023. View presentations here.
FP2 supports the distribution of literature supporting pavement preservation, including its quarterly magazine Pavement Preservation Journal.
FP2 recognizes superior preservation programs with its James B. Sorenson Award for Excellence in Pavement Preservation.
